Tips & FAQ
The following are questions that customers often have, the first question is most common
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will my repair/service take?
Most issues are repaired within 2-3 days, and we also provide a 24-hour priority service (subject to availability of parts if needed). If we need to order parts, we can usually get them delivered the same day. We understand how inconvenient it is to be without your computer, and we will make every effort to return it to you as soon as possible.
How much will my repair cost me?
We will always give you a fixed price for the repair; for example, if your laptop screen needs to be replaced, we will quote you a total cost before we begin. If we need to diagnose the problem first, we will charge $40 labour, which will be waived if you proceed with the repair. We don’t want any unpleasant surprises, so we’ll tell you exactly how much your repair will cost before we start.
Why would I want to use you when I could go to a big brand high street store such as UBreakIFix?
Offering a personalised service is at the top of our priority list; you will speak personally with the person who is working on your computer, allowing you to fully explain the situation. We don’t send anything to service centres, and we don’t price repairs that take more than five days. We don’t demand any advance fees; you just pay for work when it’s finished and you’re satisfied.
Can you replace cracked/damaged laptop screens?
Yes, we repair laptop screens all the time, and it’s a lot less expensive than buying a new one. We have the majority of laptop screens in stock and can usually replace your screen the same day if you contact us.
I’m worried about my data, is it safe?
We will always take great care with your information. We follow the Data Protection Act, and all information we collect is kept strictly confidential. We work for a variety of local businesses, including solicitors and high-street retailers, and we appreciate the value of personal information. Any client information is password-protected and maintained in an encrypted format. We always recommend making a backup of any data on your computer before beginning any work, and we can discuss backup solutions with you if necessary.
